The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together. ~Erma Bombeck

Lazy Blogger

Wow, i am the worst blogger ever. Im gonna give this another shot and see how it goes.
Well it's December two weeks before Christmas. Am I ready? No!!!!
But I am ready for winter to be over and hit the lake again.
So whats new at the Calvert house, Lets see. Kaleb is in Jr High, and Mckenna is in 5th grade.
How and when did they grow up so fast? Kaleb played football this year for his school and really enjoyed it and we love going to his games. He is also doing really well this year in school, he has made the A/B honor roll for both 6 weeks. And with Jr High comes....BRACES.....he got braces at the end of summer so that he will totally be done by highschool.
Mckenna is loving her new school, she is in a 5th/6th grade school now.
She is making strait A's. Mckenna is still going full force with gymnastics, she is a level 7 now and will start competing USAG in January....I might be a little bias but she is really really looking good and one of her least favorite events has always been bars and now she is rockin them....I feel a scholarship in her future. She wants to go to OU, Most of my friends are TEXAS fan's but hey im a fan of who ever wants to give her a scholarship, I will wear their colors proudly. We are so proud of both of them. Oh ya did i mention Kaleb is officially taller than me....WHAT!!! He is my baby:(
This past weekend I went to watch one of my dearest friends run the 26.2 White Rock marathon, Wow talk about an inspirational day, Im really proud of her she did such a great job and i am glad that I was there to cheer her on.....
Well thats all I have got for now...I am going to try and keep up with this thing, it's a great way to keep my family back home informed of all the Calvert happenings!!!!
